DECCA HOME TO INTRODUCE THE LONDON COLLECTION BY ROBBIE LLEWELLYN OF BERT FRANK AT APRIL '18 HIGH POINT MARKET
HIGH POINT, NC (March 23, 2018) – Decca Home, the luxury furniture company, proudly announced today the introduction of The London Collection. Designed by an British award-winning lighting designer, Robbie Llewellyn of Bert Frank, the 15 piece collection includes occasional case goods and upholstered seating crafted from a broad selection of luxury materials; including rosewood and ash veneer, Carrara, Nero Marquina and India Green marble, and stainless steel finished in a warm Bristol Brass tone.
The debut launch will take place at the Spring High Point Market, April 14 – 18, in the Decca Home showroom located at 311 N. Hamilton Street. With multiple finish and material options, 30 pieces of The London Collection will be on display in Decca Home's award-winning clerestory loft showroom.
A bright new star in the London product design scene, Robbie Llewellyn, the founder of Bert Frank, is responsible for all product design. Beginning with his concept sketch, Robbie shapes the final character of each piece by carefully selecting the materials and finish used in each design.
The collaboration between Robbie Llewellyn of Bert Frank and Decca London began with five furniture pieces designed and produced for a Bert Frank presentation at Salon Maison et Objet exhibition. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response in Paris – and experiencing first hand, Decca's manufacturing expertise and global reach – Robbie agreed to expand the breadth of his initial furniture designs resulting in The London Collection; the designers first comprehensive furniture assortment.
With each company insisting on producing product using only the finest materials, and both adhering to the highest standards of quality and design integrity, Bert Frank and Decca found a natural synergy while collaborating on the development of The London Collection.
"I believe the furniture pieces I've created illustrate my design aesthetic, and are a natural extension of my lighting line", said Llewellyn. "Like the texture and dimension found in a fine wool rug, or the subtle color values and geometric lines inherent to an important modern oil painting – I hope each piece in The London Collection will draw an emotional response from our client and, in the process, help them create a warm, personal living environment or public space."
The London Collection features two signature wood finishes: Camden Rosewood and Peckham Dark Ash. Stainless Steel accents throughout are washed in a warm Bristol Brass finish. Surface tops crafted in solid Carrara, Nero Marquina or India Green marble are available on a selection of cocktail and end tables.
"It has been a complete delight to partner with a designer of Robbie's caliber", said Gemma Allman, director of Decca London. "Both his lighting and furniture designs possess a modern sensibility that draws on the rich industrial heritage of Great Britain. It is this balance I believe – between his respect for historical forms and materials, and his innate creative ability – which most strongly inform the modern aesthetic narrative Robbie has woven throughout TLC."
Crafted in limited, small-batch, production runs, each design in The London Collection may also be made-to-order following exactly a client's custom specifications. Suitable pricing, and lead times, will apply.
